I spent almost an hour cleaning the terrace this morning; it’s not that it’s all that large but it’s an arduous project none the less. It gets covered in dust and pigeon poop fairly quick, and what I have to work with doesn’t make the job easy.
This is my broom. Try as I have to find a normal one at the mall, I can’t. Paul wonders why I don’t just use the one I flew over on. What ev.
So I sweep first and then proceed to wet it down with this, which doesn’t reach very far. Also, if I try to put my thumb over the tip of the hose to ‘spray’ the water, the hose comes off the spigot.
For the areas I can’t get with the hose, I use a bucket. I then put a Scotch scrub pad under my foot and scrub an area at a time, which I rinse with a bucket of water thrown in the direction of the drain. I can’t move too quickly because: A. It takes a while to fill up the bucket with water; and B. The tile is highly polished and I’ll fall on my ass if I’m not careful.
The result is a nice clean terrace. Now if we could only find some patio furniture…

Cool. It looks like an ice skating rink.
I feel sorry for the animal who last their tail to become your broom...
That's a hose? It looks like surgical tubing!!!
The broom looks an awful lot like the one my mother-in-law uses. I could be wrong, it's been a while since she's come up to visit.
You have made amazing progress with pitiful tools. Great work!
Huh. I've been looking for my broom!
That terrace is beautiful! And I'm pretty sure if I stepped out on it, I'd break every bone in my body.
You mean Amazon.co.in doesn't deliver patio furniture to your door? :)
That's an awesome deck! It would be great in the summer evenings...
