SHRIEK!!!!!!

During my kitchen tour I showed you how the dryer hose needs to be vented out a window.  My biggest worry, until yesterday, was making sure that window got shut before the sun went down and the mosquitoes found their way in.  Now?  Not so much.

I wonder; do lizards have ears?  While doing some laundry, I saw one within inches of my feet; my bare feet.  My natural instinct was to scream….so I did...loudly.

Grabbing my cell phone, I called Paul and insist he come home for lunch.  He laughed and told me to get used to it.  He then went on to tell me he’s already gotten several out of the apartment.  Are you kidding me; I did not need to know that.  Ignorance truly would be bliss in this case.

I’ll be honest; insects don’t bother me.  I can squish a large spider with half a tissue if need be.  But small animals, on the loose in my house, Freak.  Me.  Out.

So needless to say, I spent the entire day looking around corners, up walls and under the toilet seat.  I left the window open, which was actually a double edged sword, because not only did he have the ability to leave he could also invite his friends in.

Looking back I guess the logical thing to do would have been to stand guard and make sure he left.  But logic usually doesn’t accompany hysteria.

Maybe it’s still in the apartment.
Maybe more will come in.
Maybe I need a pet cat.

Wow. If all you wanted was lizards, you could have moved down here to Florida. There's lots down here. Of course, there are no rickshaws or pedicars - and there's no foreign language to learn - so maybe it's more fun where you are.

Probably.

When we went to Mexico, there were two lizards sharing our room. I made my son try to catch them so we could relocate to them to a more natural home...like the OUTDOORS...but they are much faster than my son and just climbed straight up the wall. In our vaulted ceiling hotel room. And so we went to dinner and when we came back-they were both no longer visible...but I spent a lot of time in the night imagining that they were on the bed with me. Scary stuff!!! I'm with you-scream away!!!

The lizard wouldn't bother me. Now, if there are cockroaches? Then I'm toast. Hope you find the little buggar.
