Tomorrow my sister is coming for a week long visit. My sister who has always lived in the city...the 'Big City', is coming out to stay with me, the little ole suburbanite.
Being the gracious host I can't just leave her hanging while I write my post each evening. So as my time to write during her stay will be somewhat limited, I was hoping to convince her to write a guest post for me. I thought with your help we can persuade her. She has already obliged me once with her ‘Oral Essay Assignment on the Subject of Pet Peeves”. If you haven’t already read it, please do.
Anyhoo, while she is basking in the sun on my patio or in between dips in the pool she will have full access to my laptop In fact, I already have an idea for her. How about “The City Mouse Visits the Suburban Mouse”?
So what do you think? Can you help me with your power of persuasion in a comment to her?
Toodles~
P.S. Stop by tomorrow for a delicious appetizer recipe!

Good luck with that!
To All:
CK is my sister. She's saying 'no' already. Please tell her why she should.
Because I never see you...
Because I haven't seen you in years...
Because I hardly know you...
Because you are my family...
Because I am interested in you...
I think she should write some "Taxi Cab Confessions" (ie. Little snippets of conversations she's had or overheard while en route to visit you).
The name sounds cool, even if the idea isn't.
Because who knows? Maybe we might wind up starting this long term, long distance (I mean Plainfield is far from EVERYWHERE) love thing - a cyber romance - and we could have little cyber kids and everything. That's after we make cyber love, of course.
She should because it's just fun. 'nough said.
To all: Nice try. I don't believe in blogging, but I support everyone's right to do so.
To sis: My spotlight days ended when I took down my BBS in the early '90s. Now it's your turn to shine.
To cuz'n carol: So come on over and see me... I'll be in the Land of the Lost all next week.
To badass geek: I've been to visit once... a newly minted teacher sat next to me on the train, commented that she loved the book I was reading ("The Glass Castle"), and chatted about her summer school students. Sorry, but no titillating tidbits to share.
To lceel: Huh?
To pleasant drive: And that's why there's chocolate and vanilla... and lactose-free frozen yogurt at Berry Chill, for "special" people like me.
well, from your post above, you seem to be a pretty entertaining person. i enjoyed reading your thoughts :)
plus, now i think you should do it just to prove everyone wrong. at this point, we all believe you're just not gonna do it..
enjoy the poolside vacation...i'm totally jealous...
I doubt anything I will say will change her mind! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL visit & hopefully one day we can have her as addicted to blogging as the rest of us!
Seems to me CK is already blogging with all of her comments. Baby steps, CK, baby steps!
Found you on Selma in the City's Blog's List of Links.....

yes...she needs to write a post for US all about “The City Mouse Visits the Suburban Mouse” Cant wait to read it!
My suggestion for guest post would be "the best thing that's ever happened to me", or perhaps "one of the best experiences I've ever had". This will give her an opportunity to think about something very enjoyable, significant or both that's taken place in her life, which should be a labor of love.
I can give a more specific suggestion along these lines but I don't want to get too racy.
