Contest!! Photo Scavenger Hunt

Okay, ready for a Photo Scavenger Hunt? If you didn’t read yesterday’s post and have no clue what I’m talking about you can read about it here.

I reminisced about scavenger hunts last summer and how much I love them. Obviously there is no way to do the traditional hunt on a blog…but we can with photographs. Come on and play, I promise you’ll have fun…and remember that there are two prizes, so don’t think you don’t have a chance to win, you do.

Instead of going door-to-door in search of items on a list, you’ll use your camera to take pictures of them. Below are two categories with ten subjects each. You do not need to get all of these. You do need to get at least three from each category, for a total of at least six pictures. Though only six photographs are required to win, I am saying at least six in case one of them is questionable.

Note: These must be photographs that you have taken. Images from the web are not admissible.

Here are the two categories. Remember you will need to submit at least three photographs from each.

Category Number One
A Junk Drawer…open and showing, well, your junk
A Green Crayon
A TV Screen Showing the Local News
A Packet of Ketchup or Soy Sauce
A Male Big Toe…with nail polish
A Noticeable Scar
A Pizza Menu
A Can of Cream Style Corn or French Style Green Beans
A Milk Mustache
ABC Gum…(i.e. After Being Chewed)

Category Number Two
A Construction or U-Turn sign (or a No U-Turn sign)
A Street Sign with a Tree Name
A Vanity Plate
A Post Office or a Church
A Yellow Vehicle
A Farm Animal
An ATM Machine
A Fire Hydrant
A Fast Food Restaurant
A Shopping Cart

Now that you’ve read the two lists you can see that Category One can be done in the comfort of your own home. Category Two, however, will require you to bring your camera outside of your home. It’s a tad more difficult, but not impossible.

The first person to email at least six photographs, three from each category, will be the first prize winner. The second person to email me at least six…you get it…will be the second prize winner. If you are wondering what the prizes are you did not read yesterday’s post as I instructed you to do mere minutes ago. If you’re thinking, “hey, that’s me.” You can read it here.

As I mentioned yesterday there is no deadline. If it takes one day or one month to get two winners, that’s fine. I can wait.

Please email your photographs, all six of them, not one at a time, to: lfabsits AT yahoo DOT com

If you have any questions regarding this contest leave them as a comment to this post or email me. Again, my email address is: lfabsits AT yahoo DOT com

Note: As I have not disclosed my list to anyone, family members and friends are eligible.

Are my chances any better if I take a photo of EVERYTHING listed in BOTH categories? Cuz, yeah I have time like that on my hands and a broken heart!

How fun! I could knock almost the whole first list off right now. The second one requires me to leave the house, so that might take a while.

At least there's nothing embarrassing here. Well, perhaps the man's toe with polish, but that's not bad at all. Snap away!
