Blame it on Someone Else

Yes, today is Friday the Thirteen, but it is also “Blame it on Someone Else Day”. I swear, Google it. “Blame it on Someone Else Day” is celebrated the first Friday the 13th of the year, which just happens to be today. And FYI, this is the only Friday the Thirteenth we’ll have in 2008.

Anything that doesn’t go right today can be blamed on someone else. Just keep in mind that what goes around comes around. Someone just might be blaming you!

I got up late today; my alarm clock didn’t go off. Well, it did go off, I just couldn’t hear it. I have it set to a radio station as opposed to that annoying beep, beeep, beeeep, beeeeeeeep! The station wasn’t coming in clear enough to wake me. Someone either messed with that big antenna on the top of their building or threw something out of whack with the satellite that picks up their signal because it sure wasn’t my fault.

I strolled in about ten minutes late. What’s the big deal? Everyone knows the beginning of the work day is for checking e-mails, reading blogs and discussing last night’s episode of “The Next Top Model Who Wants to Marry a Big Brother that Has Talent and Live the Simple Life”. No one had even made coffee yet.

Anyhoo, I totally have TGIF on the brain, and I’m not referring to the restaurant chain that has the best appetizer around, “fried green beans”. No, I am sooo thankful that today is Friday. It’s not just because it’s been a long week, which it has been. It’s because the co-worker that I share an office with took a vacation day today, and I don’t have to deal with her. Now don't get me wrong. It's not that I dislike her, it’s just that she has some of the most annoying and sometimes repulsive habits (i.e. sniffing up snot over and over again and refusing to blow her nose). Get the picture? Well, she is not here and that makes for a glorious day.

So I will enjoy my day and I hope you do the same. And remember, anything that goes wrong today just “blame it on someone else”!

I’ll be back on Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Now see, I could blame you for leaving me a comment blaming me, which in turn led me to visit here when I should have left for my cubicle 20 minutes ago.

However, I am always glad to meet another cubicle slave, so I am choosing to lay no blame. Well, at least not on you. I figure I'll be blaming plenty of other people today anyway.

Glad I found your blog and thanks for visiting mine!!

Oh, so its all YOUR fault! I get it now!

Sure hope your cube mate doesn't ever find your blog. She may not like the "sniffing snot" comment. Or, you could just blame it on some alien who wrote your blog post for today. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Damn. Wish I would've know it was blame it on someone else day. I could've had a lot of fun with that one! lol

At least you and Michael have a cubicle. I work in one of those open plan offices. The lack of privacy is not good, especially when you want to eat the snacks you smuggled in or play one of those silly games they have on the computer like battleships or chinese checkers. I believe when it comes to those games the computer is like a casino - the house always wins. That's my story and I'm sticking to it....
Fun post!
